I had a decent amount of fun playing Bioshock (PC version). Things kind of slowed down for me in Arcadia, and then especially in the following level, Farmer's Market. It had been a while since I played a video game, and I was so excited about the underwater-dystopia aspect, I think I overlooked some flaws and frustrations while I played it. It may sound dumb, but I think the game was a little bit too dark for me (and I'm not just talking about light sources). I like a little more hope throughout my immersive games. There came a point where I wanted to play Bioshock because I was anxious to finish it and be done. I'd give it a 3.5/5, but am not sure what I'd round to if I couldn't chose half-points. Probably 3/5. And I can't blame that on a preference for less FPS-ey games; I loved Half-Life 2 and it's sequels.

What's this first puzzle you mentioned? I can think of a bunch of things that may count as puzzles, but I don't remember ever having an "oh, I solved the puzzle" moment while I played.
